The Iowa Straw Poll may prove meaningless in the long run (it often does) but it is important to note that Iowa Republicans who really want to work for a change of leadership in Washington turned out in bunches to campaign for Congressman Bachmann and to pick her as their early favorite for the presidency. Tim Pawlenty worked Iowa hard for nearly a year getting ready for this straw poll, spent lots of money, and developed an impressive organization. Finishing a distant third place, he called it quits the day after the straw poll. Pawlenty has been looked at since 2008 as a formidable contender to take on heir-apparent Mitt Romney. His attempt to smear her as the failure who somehow allowed Obamacare to pass helped sink him. It became obvious in their last debate that Pawlenty resented the upstart from his own state stealing his thunder.

Michelle Bachmann is routinely ridiculed by most of the "serious" media and is subjected to outright abuse by liberal pundits and bloggers. The latest issue of Newsweek Magazine for instance featured an unflattering cover photo with the headline "Queen of Rage." Inside was the typical hit piece masquerading as an informative profile. It's not surprising that US Weekly outsells Newsweek by numbers that approach national debt proportions. The scandal mongers at US don't care about fairness in reporting either but then they don't pretend to. I've watched Michelle Bachmann closely ever since she started this inevitable campaign two years ago and I've seen no rage.

So what happened here? Bachmann isn't the most articulate speaker in the Republican field. She is not the most experienced by far. She's never even sponsored a major piece of legislation. Why does she impress? It's not because she's pretty. Sarah Palin is pretty (drop-dead gorgeous actually) but the Republican establishment despises her and many Republican women hate her living guts because she's so pretty. Same with Bachmann on that count.

Michelle Bachmann is so successful thus far for two reasons. First,she's a tireless campaigner and a shameless fundraiser - qualities she shares with His Imperial Emptiness, Mr. Obama. Second and most important is the big reason. She is completely honest and uncompromisingly devoted to her core beliefs - the rarest qualities of all in a national-level politician.

How formidable is she? Time will tell. She has to develop a detailed and effective policy message that goes beyond soundbites and slogans. Those are fine for campaign stump speeches but when the party faithful vote in the primaries they will be looking for not just the happy warrior that is Michelle Bachmann. They also will be looking for a strong and articulate statesman who explains why people should follow her. She needs to give us a strategic vision for the future and show us how it will make the USA a better country and America a better society. Time will tell.

The MLK Day observance was a truly ugly affair in Columbia South Carolina. Dr. King's legacay of equal opportunity based on merit was besmirched by local NAACP organizers who used the day to campaign for equal outcomes or "social" justice. In other words, "Just Us." So blatantly hateful was the NAACP rally that they even covered the statue of George Washington with a wooden box. The organizers claimed that the statue might offend someone. This is the fruits we harvest from allowing generations of Americans to be indoctrinated with lies and hatred for the very people most responsible for their liberty.
It's quite easy to be offended when your purpose in life is to look for excuses to be offended. The NAACP has lost its way. Once the champion of oppressed black Americans, it is now a radical fringe interest group whose mission is Hatin' Whitey and delivering Democrat votes. If there are still any members of the NAACP who use their intellect to develop public positions, they really ought to think about reforming it from within. As it now stands, the organization amounts to nothing more than an agitating front group for the white fascists who run the Democrat party. How amazingly stupid are the leaders of the NAACP. Their devotion to radical socialism ensures that if there is ever a truly equal outcome for everyone, it will be equally miserable for all but a few.

The all too familiar refrain from the Left Wing Media Machine is that conservative political speech somehow caused a young nihilist nut-job to go on a shooting rampage in Arizona. That he targeted a Democrat congresswoman is all the evidence needed for the hate mongering liars of the left. It doesn't matter that every one of these acts over the past two years was committed by either a leftist or a Muslim. What's important is that the act be pinned on the political right regardless of the facts. CBS news is leading the charge. Paragon of journalistic even-handedness Katie Couric started the ball rolling the day of the shooting by connecting the shooter's act to a map that appeared on Sarah Palin's PAC website.
The map showed 21 districts "targeted" for action by hi-lighting them with a cross-hair symbol. Couric's reporting can be easily seen for the political cheap shot that it is. As far back as 2004, the Democrat National Committe was using BULLSEYE symbols to show their potential donors the states that needed to be "targeted." It is so typically predictable of the Left Media to make political hay out of a horrible tragedy like this. George Soros funds the Center for American Progress, which has been characterized as Barack Obama’s Ideas Factory. John Podesta, its head, led the transition team when Barack Obama became President. The Center has also become a hiring hall for the Obama team, filling its positions with former employees (among these was controversial Van Jones — who now is back at the Center).

Apparently, George Soros and his Center are upset that the American people placed a roadblock in their plans when we rose up and painted the nation red. The Center now is providing a blueprint of ways Barack Obama can do an end run around the people’s will by resorting to methods that will strike many of us as being improper-to say the least. Relying on executive orders, interpretation of regulations, rule -making and the like they are collectively a recipe for even more power being assumed by President Obama.

From Tuesday’s Politico Playbook:

[The] Center for American Progress today is releasing a report, “Power of the President,” proposing 30 executive actions the president can take to advance progressive change in the areas of energy, the economy, health care, education, foreign policy, and national security. “The following authorities can be used to ensure progress on key issues facing the country today: Executive orders, Rulemaking, Agency management, Convening and creating public-private partnerships , Commanding the armed forces, Diplomacy.

The New York Times fleshes out these proposals with some suggestions about policy changes across the board. The ideology of George Soros shines through the Center’s report as it justifies this forceful approach to circumvent Congress when it states that:

[The] legislative battles that Mr. Obama waged during his first two years – notably on health care and financial regulatory reform – have created a weariness among the general public with the process of making laws. And it hints it has not helped Mr. Obama politically in the process.

In other words, when Congress passed a variety of laws Americans became dismayed by the horse-trading and bribes that were resorted to by Democrats to impose these policies on us. Instead of compromise and listening to the American people, Soros counsels that more forceful measures should be used to override the will of the American people.

And this is the man the Democratic Party has as their sugar daddy and who various Democratic leaders over the years have defended and praised (for example, as shown by this letter from 11 Democratic lawmakers).

He is certainly a dictatorial daddy.

The “healthcare bill” that was recently passed in spite of bi-partisan opposition only gives the federal government more control over our lives. It will not reduce costs. It will not improve care. It will however ensure that there is an equal distribution of misery among us, the people. I don’t like it. I want to be able to decide with my doctor how to address my health issues - not have the government do it for me through some faceless bureaucrat in a cubicle somewhere in Washington D.C. Yes, I know that’s not what the President said when he was smearing lipstick on this pig and bribing his own party with our money in order to pass it. What government has done to American healthcare over the last 50 years is like the busy-body neighbor who comes over uninvited to help paint your house and somehow manages to burn it to the ground. We’ll soon be like our neighbors to the north where you have to wait 18 months for a hip replacement but you can get a sex change operation the next day. Perhaps we’ll be reduced to scraping up bribes to get doctors to do what we need instead of what the feds will allow. If in need of a new hip, we can sign up for a sex change and just say,”well, since you’re switching around things in the general area and I’m under anesthesia anyway, here’s an extra five or ten large for you and the operating room team. Please fix my hip so I’ll be able to walk around and show off my new private pieces.”

I sure could use some cheering up right now. I'd go through a colonoscopy every week if the the Congress and the Whitehouse could be stopped.

Everyone who's on the side of this attack on liberty is either a big business that's already been made safe, a nonproductive citizen, or a citizen who works in government or some other entity that depends on federal government money to survive.

The pattern is always the same with America's compassionate overlords. They join forces with the media giants and demonize an industry, pharmaceuticals for instance. They can't open their mouths without putting down that industry. All the time it's a nudge and a wink behind closed doors with the industry they demonize. When they've dispensed a sufficient amount of kool-aid to the Time/NPR/NBC crowd, they intoduce legislation to "fix" it and punish those horrible profit making bastards who live off the backs of the "working poor." What do we end up with? More government beauracracy, higher taxes, higher prices, and the drug companies' stock prices going through the roof. I wonder how many congressional Democrats bought drug stocks by the bucketfull on the Friday before the healthcare vote in the House.
Passed without a complaint is a law that puts the entire college loan business under the federal government. Washington will now decide who can borrow money for school and probably will start deciding which schools can be attended with their loan money. Control. Control. Control.

Well over half the people working in the American car making business are now effectively government employees. How many more industries will these people destroy with their regulations and union favoritism just to put them under federal control? It appears that there is no way to stop them short of violence but that's their way. We have to find another way to stop them. GM and Chrysler will never make a profit as long as the government is in charge. They will always be subsidized by the rest of the taxpayers and will become a solid socialist voting block for you know who and in perpetuity.

The people who actually produce the wealth are shrinking in number at an alarming rate. The American middle class, the most potent economic force in world history, is being systematically destroyed by a small gang of fascists. Close to half of our population are now part of the economic underclass. If they get immigrant amnesty passed, no Democrat will get less than 50% of the popular vote in a national election ever again. We are alarmingly close to having a one-party permanent majority in a pseudo-democratic dictatorship.

I believe that there now exists a very distinct possibility that the Democrats will find a way to repeal the 22nd amendment or suspend the constitution before their messiah is forced to leave the Whitehouse.

They have shown that they have no scruples whatsoever when it comes to torturing the legislative process to do whatever they please. If they are not somehow stopped with their next major move (legalizing illegals), the game is over. The Republic is dead.

Talk about hate speech. I just saw a New York Times column that once again labels Tea Party people as racists. The hateful little puke who wrote the column claims that "some" of the 60,000 protesters at the U.S. Capitol last Sunday called a black congressman a nigger and spat on him. Further, there was the claim that someone calleed Barney Frank a faggot. I think it's odd that with thousands of cameras and microphones there (every cell phone has one), not a single piece of video or audio has surfaced to confirm the accusation. That's just odd.

What's really hateful is a gang of left wing kool-aid drinking morons, i.e. the New York Times, spreading what is probably a lie to their legions of like-minded pablum suckers to further foment hatred against everyday people who went to Washington seeking redress of their grievances. The New York Times is a Bolshevik propaganda sheet and it's editorial staff are bigoted hate-mongers.

The day after Scott Brown won the "Kennedy Seat" in Massachusetts, The One (blessings and peace be upon him) did an interview with George Stephanopolous in which he made the most ridiculous Bush-faulting statement ever. The One (blessings and peace be upon him) claimed that the brainless left wing atomaton Martha (Marsha if you're a Kennedy) Coakley failed to win a senate seat in the most left-voting state in America because of "anger" over former President Bush.

What he claimed is that the same wave of voter anger that swept him into the oval office brought in Scott Brown as well.

Anti-Bush anger was so intense that it caused the majority of special election voters in Massachusetts to vote for a candidate who largely supports Bush administration policy?

Besides, wasn't it "hope and change" and "change we can believe in" that swept The One (blessings and peace be upon him) to power in the first place?

The left are apoplectic over a poster that recently started showing up in Los Angeles and is now flying across the internet at the speed of light. Everyone's seen 'Obama the Joker.' Predictably, they're calling it racist, mean-spirited, yada yada. I don't see how it's racist to caricature a sitting "president" (read: tool of monied interests). He isn't pictured as any of the typical black stereotypes. He's not really black anyway but that's for another posting. He's pictured as the ultimate evil flim-flam man. I can't think of a better caricature for him except for perhaps a clinking marionette.

Not so long ago, Vanity Fair ran this picture of George W. Bush. Not a whine or a whimper was heard from the right although the picture was just as "mean-spirited" and it showed up in what was once a respected publication. I have to wonder what all the fuss is about. Finally, people who disagree with Obama's agenda and see him for the fascist puppet of George Soros that he is are finding their voice. People who voted for him because they were inundated by bad news in left wing media outlets for eight years and wanted "change" are beginning to wonder just what sort of monster they created at the polls last November.

Is it not wonderfully ironic then that one tiny example of the political intolerance that they spewed for eight years has turned the American (and international) left into a gang of blubbering jackasses? Wait a minute. That's what they've always been. If somehow the creator of that Obama poster gets to read this little commentary, I have a request to make: Give us more. More more more. Heap it on his pinko head till he collapses under the sheer weight of it.

Bushy deserved most of the ridicule he got - not for being evil but for being a dupe. Obama's not a dupe. He's a willing participant in the destruction of our American dream. Let us hope and even pray that he becomes the forgotten footnote he deserves to be.

What a wimpy cry-baby. Every major newspaper and all the national TV news organizations except one have paroxysms of ecstasy every time he picks his nose but that’s just not good enough for the little messiah, oh no. We can’t have a cable TV news channel allowing disagreeing views to be aired. How dare they! It’s upsetting to the Dear Leader.

How utterly embarrassing it is to have the POTUS blubbering and crying over what small amount of critical press coverage there actually is.

Barry the Stiff’s predecessor was treated horribly by the press. Most of them wouldn’t even call him “president.” They simply spat his last name out like a curse. Old Bushy never complained about how shabbily he was treated, nor would he allow anyone on his staff to do so. He’s way too classy a guy for that, and has way too much respect for the office he held for eight years. That he disappointed us is unarguable. It’s also obvious that he loves our country more than himself.

Well that certainly isn’t the case with George Soros’s finger puppet. Everyone must love and praise and adore the emperor, and say nice things about him and agree completely with all the policies his handlers and overlords wish to enact. Else Wittle Bawacky will be upset. Now we can’t have that in our Brave New World. We need to bow and scrape like Brian Williams, or like Chris Matthews we should try to feel that tingle up our collective leg every time he very eloquently says something very forgettable.

Let’s all tickle little Bawacky-wack’ums under the chin and say, “gitchy-goo!” Then the little fellow will feel ever so much better. Since it’s the season to appoint cronies to unaccountable positions of immense power, perhaps there should be a Czar of Boot-Licking to ensure that we all kiss up appropriately to His Emptiness.

Let's get something straight. Hatred is a form of fear. One of the rules of radicalism is to dehumanize opponents and potential opponents. From the moment Sarah Palin was named as John McCain's running mate last election, the onslaught of dehumanizing hatred has been unrelenting. One would have thought that since she and McCain lost the election, the haters would slack up a bit. Not a chance. Palin might still have a political future even after the Couric interview, even with a near majority of American voters thinking that all the stupid quotes from Tina Fey are really Sarah Palin's. The extremists can take no chances with someone like Palin. She's just too attractive and nice. She must be destroyed.

Her head has been photo-shopped onto any number of slut pictures. Her children have been the butt of vile and despicable "jokes." Close to twenty ethics complaints have been filed against her in Alaska, all of which require that she spend personal funds, borrow money, and even establish a Clinton-style legal defense fund. Every complaint that's reached the judgement phase has been thrown out as meritless. Yet they continue. She even had to defend herself against an ethics complaint that she wore a jacket with a snowmobile manufacturer's logo on it.

Now she's leaving her post as governor of Alaska. Does anyone out there think that the long train of media abuse will stop? Fat chance. If Sarah Palin leaves public life altogether, the hounding and the pounding will never stop. Sarah Palin must be destroyed along with any positive public awareness of her.

Sarah Palin is a Christian who has been portrayed as a lunatic fundamentalist by what were once our mainstream media outlets but are now government mouthpieces by choice. She is a devoted wife and mother who was labeled a "Bimbo," a "Slut," and a "Dirty C--t" by the tolerant big tent leftists who carried such signs at Obama rallies during the election campaign and were cheered on for doing so. She committed the unpardonable sin of carrying a known down-syndrome child to term. And let's not forget that she was accused (by NBC News) of pretending to be the mother of Trig when he was actually the bastard offspring of her eldest daughter. Any manner of vile garbage about her that comes from some blogging left-wing hate merchant is broadcast as fact by dirt-shoveling media liars who call themselves journalists.

Sarah Palin is guilty of having an unpolished style of speech. She's guilty of putting God and family above self. She's guilty of believing that a child is a precious gift that must be loved and nurtured - not destroyed for the sake of convenience before it has a chance to draw a breath. Sarah Palin is guilty of being an ordinary person who has accomplished extraordinary things with the help and blessing of her loving family. Sarah Palin is guilty of being an American success story. Much like Clarence Thomas, she rose from obscurity by hard work and devotion to timeless values. Just like Clarence Thomas, she is guilty of being an individual instead of whining for help because she's a member of a victim group. How dare her step outside the box that the Statists so carefully constructed for her.

Whether she ever becomes a national leader or not, Sarah Palin is a great American, loved and respected by millions of other Americans. That's why she is so feared, so hated.

Victory in Iraq

Since it's not been mentioned in the news, I thought I'd pipe up and declare victory in Iraq. The mission was to create an environment in which the Iraqi people could start a representative democracy. Then we would leave. Our troops pulled out of Iraq's urban centers today, completing the last phase of turning over security for these areas to the Iraqi government. All scheduled Iraqi elections have been held on time and with a minimum of fraudulent activity (unlike our own). We have won and nobody in the media cares. For all their blathering and naysaying during the Bush years, the Democrats have left every one of the terror war policies in place including the post-surge timetable for Iraq. So there's no comment from the state-run media cowards on this glorious day that they so looked forward to, the day when our troops would not be in harm's way. Since they can't credit His Emptiness with the victory, they pretend that nothing has happened. Matter of fact, nothing has happened in the terror war since Barry the Stiff's coronation according to the state-run media. Well ta heck with em.
